Mythri Movie Makers has put an end to reports surrounding a possible ticket price hike for Ranabaali in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. With the Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026, reports had suggested that the makers were seeking an additional ticket-price increase in Andhra Pradesh. However, the production house has now categorically denied the claims and confirmed that the film will release at standard ticket prices.
Addressing the reports on social media, Mythri Movie Makers wrote, "There have been reports that we have applied for ticket price hikes in Andhra Pradesh for #Ranabaali. We would like to clarify that these reports are completely false. We have not applied for any ticket price hikes in either of the Telugu States. #Ranabaali will release at standard ticket prices, and we are confident that audiences will have a great cinematic experience this festive season. #RanabaaliOnOct16th" The statement makes the production house's position clear as the film heads towards the Dussehra festive window.
The clarification comes after trade reports claimed that the makers were seeking an increase of around ₹50 in Andhra Pradesh for the period action epic. Mythri Movie Makers, however, has maintained that no application for a ticket-price hike was made in either Telugu state. The decision means audiences can look forward to watching the much-awaited film at standard ticket prices, a move that could prove particularly significant during the busy festive season when several major releases compete for theatrical attention.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali stars Vijay Deverakonda in the titular role and Rashmika Mandanna as his wife, Jayamma. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays the principal British antagonist, Sir Theodore Hector. Set against the backdrop of the 19th century, the film is a period action epic inspired by the hardships faced by communities in South India during the era of British colonial rule. The story draws heavily from the Great Madras Famine of 1876–1878, adding a historical dimension to its larger-than-life action narrative.
The film is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar for T-Series Films. Music for the project has been composed by the acclaimed duo Ajay-Atul. With promotional material already being released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, the makers are positioning Ranabaali as a major pan-India theatrical release.
Now, with the ticket-price controversy officially addressed by the production house, attention is firmly back on the film itself. Ranabaali is scheduled to storm cinemas worldwide on October 16, 2026, arriving during the Dussehra festive period. For fans of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, the combination of a grand period setting, intense action and a pan-India release makes the film one of the major Telugu releases to watch this festive season. And for moviegoers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Mythri Movie Makers' latest clarification means one thing: no special ticket hike for Ranabaali.
