A massive fire broke out on the sets of Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 at Mumbai’s Film City in Goregaon on Monday afternoon, triggering panic and bringing shooting activities in the surrounding area to a sudden halt. The blaze reportedly started on the reality show’s set before spreading towards nearby production sets, creating a tense situation at one of Mumbai’s busiest shooting hubs.
According to initial reports, the fire quickly engulfed parts of the Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 set and spread towards the adjacent sets of MTV Hustle 5 and Laughter Chefs. Videos circulating on social media showed huge flames and thick black smoke rising from the area, while crew members were seen rushing out as emergency teams moved in. The intensity of the blaze also caused significant disruption to other productions operating in the vicinity.
Thankfully, the incident did not result in any reported injuries or casualties. Actor Samarth Jurel and other production sources reportedly confirmed that the cast and crew members associated with all three shows were safely evacuated from the area. The priority remained getting everyone away from the affected sets as the fire continued to spread across portions of the structures and set materials.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade was alerted immediately, with fire personnel reaching Film City and launching operations to control the blaze. The affected area was also cordoned off as a precaution, while shooting for multiple productions was stopped for the day. Although the exact extent of the damage is still being assessed, the sets are believed to have suffered considerable damage in the fire.
The incident comes at a time when Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 has been attracting attention for its reported lineup of popular television personalities and their real-life partners. The season is expected to feature names including Arjun Bijlani and Neha Swami, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, Shabir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul, Manoj Tiwari and Surabhi Tiwari, Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi, and Sharad Kelkar and Keerti Gaikwad. Deepika Singh and Rohit Goyal have also been widely reported in connection with the show.
For now, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown. Officials are expected to determine what triggered the blaze and assess the overall property damage following a preliminary inquiry. While there is no immediate confirmation on whether the incident will affect upcoming filming schedules, further updates are awaited as the production teams and authorities assess the situation.
